TRAFFIC OFFENCES
Charges involving breaches of the traffic regulations were dealt with in th« Magistrate's Court today by Mr. E. D. iMo»ley, S.M. Sub-Inspector C. E. Roach prosecuted. , , , Henry Alfred Jenkins, jun., pleaded guilty to driving a motor-cycle on Septembor 12 on the Island Bay Parade without duft care and attention, failing to carry a warrant of fitness, and failing to have lights or a warning device fitted to his machine. He was fined £2 and costs on the first charge, 5s and costs on the second, 10s and co?ts on the third and was ordered to pay costs on the fourth. Pleading guilty to driving a motorcycle on September 10 on Paekakariki Hill in a manner that might have been dangerous, Sydney Francis Doy was fined £2 and costs. For a similar offence on September 26 with a motorlorry, Percy Malcolm Sebirc was fined 1 20s and costs. On charges of committing a breach of the right-hand rule and of driving a car without a licence, Marius Petersen was fined £3 and costs and 10s and costs respectively. A breach of the right-hand rule in Taranaki Street cost George Fairbrother 20s and costs. Aubrey Roderick Gaucheron Diment was fined 30s and costs and Noel Reuben Norman Harrison ,20s and costs for similar offences. . ■ , William Robert Pember was fined 20s arid costs for failing to give way to. a.- vehicle approaching, from the right. ., m Driving a motor- car in Tasman Street on September 18 without due care and attention cost Arthur George Whitelaw 20s and costs. John Hunter was fined 20s and costs for driving a car in Bintoul Street on September a without due care and attention. Raymond Clifford Kemball was fined 20s for a similar offence, which took place on August 29 in Cambridge Terrace. Fines of 5s and costs were imposed on Archibald Sylvio Bitossi, Reginald Blake,' Francis Thomas Bryant, and Denis Francis McCambridge for committing breaches of the parking regulations. Carl William Dowling and William Ward Kaye were each .fined 10s and costs for similar offences. Herbert Maurice Field was fined 30s and costs for failing to keep as far as practicable to the left. A fine of 10s and costs was imposed on Mavis Pickett for driving without a VrenfPt'
