The secretary said he had furnished the information and expected the band soon to affiliate. The Port Ahuriri Pipe Band had intimated its intention of joining, and in all likelihood the Police Pipe Band would affiliate. , u At vote of thanks to the outgoing officers terminated the meeting.

Mr. and Mrs. Norman Gibbons, '•Rangiaho," Main Road, Lower Hutt, have kindly consented to open their gardens during this week in aid of the funds of the Wellington kindergarten. There is a magnificent display of rhododendrons, cinerarias, primulas, nemesias. Iceland poppies, and pansies, as well as other flowers. A wellknown authority who has inspected gardens in all parts of the world states that he has rarely seen such a lovely display of these flowers in any country. The pansies alone are well worth a visit.
