DANGEROUS DOG
Charged with being the owner of a dangerous dog which attacked a woman in Fairlie Terrace, Mrs. tthcl Maud Howard was fined 30s andcosts 14s by Mr. W. F. Stilwell, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday. For keeping a dog which was unlicensed she was fined 10s and costs 10s Evidence was given that the dog, stated to be fond of children, stalked a woman resident of Fairlie Terrace from behind and jumped on her back knocking her down, and biting her on the leg. The owner was trying to get the dog away to a farm in tne country. It was of friendly disposition, b'rt had bad a previous lapse, when it damaged a woman s clothing.
