BUTTER MARKETING
DIRECTOR AT AUCKLAND
(By Telegraph—Press Association.)
AUCKLAND, September 18.
The control of cheese marketing is not contemplated at the moment, although the Government is most anxious to assist in popularising consumption of that product in New Zealand, according to a statement by Mr. F. R. Picot, Director of Internal Marketing.
Yesterday and today Mr. Picot discussed with butter distributors the internal marketing regulations, introduced recently by Order-in-Council, in the Auckland district. So far only prices have been fixed, but Mr. Picot hinted that a general scheme would be enforced in the Auckland district in the near future.
