In the semi-finals'of the SunflowerCup Mrs. Kent won from Miss E. Read. Mrs. Wood won from Mrs. D. The qualifying round of the championships will be played next Monday. The following are the results of the pairs competition played over ■the weekend by the Shandon Ladies Club:—Miss Levy and Mrs. Low beat Misses Pownall and Kendall; Miss Hodgins and Souter beat Misses Ellison and Charlton; Mrs. Hipkins and Mrs. Findlay beat Mrs. Evison and Miss Evison and Miss Gaynor; Misses Priestley arid Wilson beat Misses Campbell and Vallance. Forbes Cup—Mrs. Hipkins beat Miss Read, 4 and 3; Mrs. King beat Mrs. Johnston, 4 and 3. In the L.G.U. played yesterday Mis* Read returned the best score, 71, Miss Robinson being next with 74.
