THE ESTATE OF ULM

The estate of the late Charles T. P. Ulna, the famous aviator, will novr I show a surplus of £301, and not a de» ficency, as was feared, voluntary re» [ ductions made by creditors having reduced the liabilities. Ulm lost his lifa on or about October 5, 1934, near Hawaii, while making s trans-Pacific flight ' Leave was given by the Probate Judge recently to the executor of the late Mr. Ulm (Mr. Eric Campbell) to proceed with distribution of the estate. The affidavit submitted by the executor showed that there had appeared to be a deficiency, and that the estate would have to go into bankruptcy. Voluntary reductions had, however, been made by creditors, reducing the liabilities (apart from those due to secured creditors) from £3154 to £1825. There was now available £725 in cash for payment to unsecured creditors. This would permit of an immediate dividend of 8s in the £1. and it was estimated that, upon.realisation of the remaining assets of the estate, there would, after payment of the whole of the liabilities as adjusted, be a surplus of £301.
