DOMINION TITLES

The New Zealand amateur wrestling championships were commenced at the Wellington Town Hall today and will be concluded tonight.

The following are the results of this morning's preliminaries:—

Bantamweight.—S. Todd (Canterbury), Bst 91b, beat C. Reid (Otago), Bst SJIb, by two straight falls.

Featherweight.—C. Jones (Auckland), 9st 61b, beat L. Frampton (Southland), 9st 21b. by two straight falls. S. Bradley (Wellington), 9st 71b, beat N. Thompson (Otago), 9st 61b, by one fall.

Lightweight.—J. A. Mclnnes (Canterbury) won by default. E. Double (Auckland), lOst 4Jlb, beat F. Keach (Otago), lOst 31b, by default. V. Thomas (Wellington), lOst l|lb. beat J. McCormick (HawKe's Bay?, sst 13lb, by two straight falls.

Welterweight.—H. Wilson (Canterbury), lOst 111b, beat A. Nichol (Auckland), list ljlb, by two straight falls. A. Scudder (Hawke's Bay), list 2Jib, beat J. Conley (South Canterbury), lOst 101b, by two straight falls. T. Waldron (Wellington), lOst iojib, beat A. Idour (Otago), lOst 101b, on points.

Middleweight.—H. R. Godfrey (Wellington), 12st21b, beat R. Davis (South Canterbury), lOst 111b by two straight falls. L. Coughlan (Oiago?, I2st 2Jlb, beat G. Harris (Canterbury), 12st 21b, on points.

This afternoon's results are as follows:—

Light-heavyweight. —J. Stewart (Hawke's Bay) 12st 31b beat T. Fahey (Canterbury) 12st 13£lb on poirfts. A. McGregor (Southland) 12st 12ilb, beat E. Swaine (Otago) 12st 1041b on points.
