A DAY OF PRAYER
Under the auspices of the Wellington Missionary Association, Tuesday next has been set aside for a day of prayer in the Vivian Street Baptist Church for all evangelical missions in China. Seven ministers of five denominations will be leading, the Revs. W. Gilmour and J. R. Blanchard (Presbyterian), D. B. Forde Carlisle and L. J. Boulton Smith (Baptist), W. Parker (Methodist), F. C. Long (Anglican) and L. A. Davison (Congregational), and Mr. C. J. Drake (Tory Street Hall). The Bishop of Wellington desires it to be known that he is warmly associating himself with this effort. A midday session in Nimmo's Hall will commence at 12.30, while morning, afternoon, and evening sessions will be in the Vivian' Street Baptist . Church. Other details are advertised. Believing with Tennyson, that "more things are wrought by prayer than this world knows," the promoters cordially invito all interested friends of missions to attend next Tuesday. '•
