MASTERTON PROGRAMME
Whereas the Masterton Racing Club's open short events, at the October Meeting last year were run over seven furlongs, next month's contests have been reduced to six furlongs each day. Another alteration is that the highweight handicap on the second day has been reduced from a mile and a quarter to one mile, the same distance as on the opening day. It was previously stated that the original distances of the sprint and highweight events would be maintained so far as the second day's programme is concerned-
