WEIGHTS ALL RAISED
An unusual incident occurred at a Brisbane meeting recently, when the stewards ordered that the weights of all the acceptors should be raised by 41b. This was due to the fact that the horse awarded top weight (9.5) had been scratched before the handicaps were declared. The next on the list was allotted 8.10, and the ste\i ards decided that as the horse weighted at 9.5 should not have been included., the proper topweight must carry 9.0 and the others correspondingly higher imposts.
