Length and a half, three-quarters of a length. Time, lmin 29sec. Kingsland Hurdles, £200; 1J miles.— 2 Chang, 10.10 Sullivan), 1; 1 Lady Ruler, 10.8 (Baker), 2; Thespis, 11.3, 3. Scr.: London, Irish Boy, Golden Spahi: Two lengths; two lengths. Time, 2min 46sec. . _ j
After the running the judicial committee held an inquiry as a result of the rider of Englishman (Trillo) weighing in without a "breastplate. It was decided to distance Englishman and award second place to Lady Ruler, and third place to Thespis. Trillo was fined £1 for carelessness. When Racemosus fell at the second to last fence he broke his back.
