PIGS, POULTRY, AND PRODUCE.

The Dominion Auctioneering Company, Palmerston North, reports; aa extra heavy yarding of all-; grades of pigs at their weekly pig fair. held on Thursday. In all, over-400 pigs were yarded and the prices realised showed an increase on the prices during the -oast few weeks. There was an exceptional demand for all classes particularly the larger pigs, light .baconers, porkers, stores, etc., with'-a corresponding increase in the price of .weaners. There was also a good- demand for poultry, of which there was a good entry with the market firm on last week's rates. There was a decrease in the price of vegetables due to the large quantity coming forward. There was still a very firm demand for fruit.
