Next week promises, to be a busy one for the Conciliation Commissioner, Mr M. J. Beardon» who has made appointments for the hearing of several important disputes in conciliation council. . . ~ The first dispute for hearing is the Wellington district tailors' on Tuesday morning. As a. result of the Arbitration Court's standard wages pronouncement the Commissioner has called the' representatives of- the parties to the Dominion carpenters dispute together again to see if a settlement to their dispute can be reached. The council in this dispute is to sit on Wednesday. Also set down for Wednesday and for Thursday is the Dominion transport drivers' dispute, the parties to which have been waiting for the standard wages pronouncement. The Commissioner has also allotted Thursday and Friday for the resumption of the. hearing of the New Zealand printing trades dispute. The Conciliation Council dealing with this dispute decided last week to agree on machinery clauses only pending the Court's decision on standard- wages.
