Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated September 9, giving North Island frozen meat quotations as follows: —Down lambs, 28-361b 7 7-8 d per lb 36-42 73d; crossbred lambs, 28----36 7 7-Bd, 3G-42 7-,' d; second quality lambs average 30-31, 7Ad; wethers, under 481b 6d, 48-56 5 3-Bd, 56-64 si'd, 64-72 5 l-8d; ewes, under 481b 4 l-Bd, 48-56 3 7-Bd, 56-64 33d, 64-72 3 5-Bd. New Zealand prime ox beef, 160-220 3.] d. Compared with last week's quotations, crossbred lamb l-8d per lb higher; second quality lamb l-8d per lb higher; wethers, under 481b, l-8d per lb higher; 64-721b l-8d per lb lower; ewes under 481b l-8d per lb higher; 56-641b l-8d per lb higher. Others unchanged. The market continues firm.
