FRENCH PLANE BROUGHT DOWN IN FLAMES
(Received September 9, 1.15 p.m.) BAYONNE, September 8. A Spanish nationalist squadron chased a French commercial aeroplane near Gijon and brought it down in flames. The pilot was fatally burned.
