FEELING EFFECTS OF TRIP

BAD WEATHER AT KOSKIUSKO

' SYDNEY, September 8.. The Press Association representative at Mount Koskiusko reports that tha New Zealand,ski team spent* today in practising. Several members of the party are still feeling the effects of the rough Tasman trip. Ferrier, Wigley, and Mrs. Edwards have been elect, ed a race committee. Most of the party gathered to watch the inter-State jump this morning. Only the New South Wales team entered, but Whittaker (Victoria) entered non-competitively. The weather was fine and sunny but a gusty and troublesome wind was blowing, and the snow was soft on alighting. Tha longest jump was 28 metres, executed by S. A. Kaston, who, however, fell in two attempts. The winner was G. Day (New South Wales), who jumped 24, 24, and 251 metres. The runner-up was J. Pattmson (New South Wales), 19J. 24, 24J- • The langlauf competition was abandoned owing to the unfavourable weather conditions. .
