CAMPBELL ROSE BOWL!

Wellington's Association football eleven to defend the Frank Campbell Rose Bowl against Auckland at Blandford Park on- Saturday, Septem-1 ber 11, was announced by the sole selector (Mr. G. F. Aers) at last night's meeting of the management committee of the Wellington Football Association. It consists of the same players who beat Canterbury, the F.A. Trophy holders, by 6 goals to 4 on the Basin Beserve recently, and is as follows: — Goalkeeper; Turkington (Marist). Full-backs: Haines (Petone), and K. Yeoman (Seatoun). Halves: *N. Gates (Technical O.B.), Longbottom (Waterside), and C. Yeoman (Seatoun). r rwards: Janes (Waterside), Heath (Swifts), Leslie (Petone), Woods (Hospital), and Craig (Petone).. Reserve: Boyes (Institute O.B.). Mr. J. Meltzer will be the manager of the team. Players are requested to attend training during the coming weekend. SOCCER FIXTURES. Association football fixtures for Saturday week, September 18, are as follows: —Semi-final Auld Memorial Cup, Marist v. Waterside, Kilbirnie Stadium. Final Victory Cup, Swifts or Miramar Rangers v. Lower Hutt, ground to be arranged. Both games at 2.30 p.m. A flve-a-side tournament is to be held on Saturday afternoon, October 2. Players of any grade may compete and entries are to be sent to the secretary of the Wellington Football Association as soon as possible. Medals will be p.-esented to the winners, and the proceeds will go to the queen carnival funds. -
