N.Z. SKI TEAM

ARRIVAL AT KOSKIUSKO

INTER-STATE EVENTS

SYDNEY, September 7.

The New Zealand ski team reached Mount Koskiusko today. The members expect to run non-competitively in the interstate langlauf, probably tomorrow. The interstate downhill race was held this morning in a bitter wind and on hard snow. The descent was 1100 feet over a mile and three-quarters. Non-competitive entries were allowed in addition to the men's and women's teams. Among the non-competitive entrants was Miss Diana Allen, who ran fourth in smin ssec, thus strengthening her claim for the consideration of the New Zealand selectors after her excellent performance in the interstate slalom yesterday, when New South "Wales defeated Victoria. The course was not steep or difficult, but owing to the winds and the snow, stamina and speed were required.

1 Victoria won the men's event with 100 per cent. New South Wales was second with 99.42 per cent.

New South Wales won the women's event with 100 per cent, to Victoria's 85.20 per cent.
