NATIONAL PARTY

"WILL NOT BE CAUGHT"

(By Telegraph—l'res? Association.)

AUCKLAND, This Day.

■ "Even if the election was called tomorrow we would not be caught; we are ready any time," said the Leader of the National Party (the Hon. A. Hamilton) today, when .discussing, reorganisation of the party. Their candidates, he said, would all be selected by the end of the year.

Mr. Hamilton will attend a meeting of the party at Hamilton tonight, and will discuss with the local committee the proposal that Hamilton and the surrounding districts should become a separate division of the party operating directly under headquarters' council instead of under the Auckland division. He pointed out that this was merely a question for discussion. No decision had yet been reached.
