WESCOATT INJURED

At the Opera Hotise on Saturday night Joe Woods (15.10) beat Rusty Wescoatt (16.10), the latter being, unable to continue after-the sixth round, in which he was injured .when securing a fall to even matters. Woods secured the first fall in'the fourth round by pinning Wescoatt after a dump- Roused by the reverse, Wescoatt infused more devilment into his exhibition,' and in the sixth -round brought off a flying tackle which he followed up with a body press for a fall. In diving he struck his head on his opponent's teeth, opening his scalp, and was unable to leave his 'corner when the gong for the seventh round" sounded. A STATE OF EASE. —Parnell.
