Vie Christy, the American. wrestler, who has just concluded a successful tour in Australia, made his first appearance in New Zealand at the Town Hall on Saturday night, his opponent being "Lofty" Blomfleld. Christy gained a popular decision on points after each man had secured a fall. . The first fall.was obtained by Blomfleld in the third round. Christy, reeled under a succession of solid forearm, jolts in the region of the heart, and,after an exciting couple of forward chancery throws BlomteM picked up his opponent, slammed mm, and pinned him with a body press. Christy-evened the falls in the sixth round. He responded vigorously to forearm jolting and twisted • Blomfield's shead between the two highest strands of the rope. When the Aucklander had been released by the referee, with the assistance of an inspector of police, Christy resumed his jolting attack, and after felling Blomfield he pinned him with a body press. "
