TAITA TENNIS CLUB

. The annual meeting of the Taita Tennis Club was held on Friday evening, Mr; D. McArthur presiding.. The annual report shpwed that the club had had a very successful year. Two teams were entered in the inter-club competitions, the senior B team losing only one match. Mr. W. Moore-Carter won the third grade men's singles. The club's handicap and championship tournament resulted as follows:—Ladies' handicap singles, Mrs. K. Chittick; ladies' handicap doubles, Mrs. K. Chittick and Miss M. Burgess; ladies' championship singles,. Miss K. Tustin; ladies' championship doubles, Misses K. Tustin and V. Kitchener; men's handicap singles, Mr. W. Moore-Carter; men's championship singles, Mr. G. Tustin; combined handicap doubles, Miss X.. Tustin and W. Wallers; combined championship doubles, Mrs. K. Chittick and G. Twstin. Officers were lelected as follows:— Patron, Mr. F. Westbury; president, Mr. H. L. August; vice-presidents, Messrs, J. Butler, W. Jackson, J. Staples, J. Gordon, J. Tilbury, F. Kitchener, F. Burtleson, and W./Smith; hon.\secretary and treasurer, Mr. G. Tustin; chairman, Mr. D. McArthur; committee, Misses K. Tustin, V. Kitchener, Mrs. Sage, and Mrs. Clark, and Messrs. G. Clark, W. Walters, C." Tustin, W. Moore-Carter, and K. Nicholson; delesates to H.V.L.T.S.A., Messrs. G. "Clark and K. Nicholson; hon. auditor, Mr. W. B. Hutchison.
