"Wellington beat Wairarapa .by .14 points to 8 at Greytown on Saturday in wet weather. Scorers for Wellington were McCarthy (two tries), Hewett, and ■Rowberry, and Adams converted one. Rayner scored a try for Wairarapa and Dickason converted it. Dickason also kicked a penalty goal.
