ORPHANS' CLUB
FRIENDS ENTERTAINED Year by year the cheerful people who entitle themselves "Orphans" give a- most pleasant entertainment to many friends, when the arrangements made are always, well carried out, with a concert, supper, and dancing as part of the enjoyments offered. The Masonic Hall on Saturday night was the scene of this ' year's event. Brightly-coloured "decor" was a feature, red, blue, and orange. being the tones used, with wide fringes of crepe paper radiating from the central electrolier to the walls. Many Chinese lanterns were placed effectively, and I added yet more colour, i while very i beautiful flowers from the garden o£ Mr. C. C. Odlin were acceptable to all who love flowers as well as adding to the effect of the decorations. . ' The usual buffet supper was served in the smaller hall, the long tables being arranged with dainty spring flowers, while - pennants in patriotic colours draped the walls.
