■ ♦' — 'l' VISIT TO CHRISTCHURCH Wellington visitors. to Christchurch for the Rugby Test match included v party of Waitaki High School , Old Boys, who also had an engagement on the golf links With members of the Canterbury branch of their association before attending the annual dinner of the branch on Friday night. The golf match was very' even, and was won by Canterbury by one point, the four best 'net scores being taker- into account Scores were:—Wellington: W B. Rainty 74, W. U. Gibb 75, C. R. Clayton 79, ,L. R. Gilmour 79; total. 307 Canterbury: Graham Jamieson 75, N. Le Cre... 75, B. Duncan 77. C. Peat 79; 'total.; 306. Other Wellington participants in the match were E. D. Blundell. D. R. Wood, and L. H. Heslop.
