FALL FROM TRAINS
VISITORS TO CHRISTCHURCH (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, September 5. Three men fell from crowded special trains travelling to and from. Christchurch for the Test. One was sent to hospital, another suffered minor injuries., and a third was not injured. The two who were injured were not seen falling from the trains, which were not stopped. John Hamilton, 28, labourer, ofOamaru, fell from a south-bound train near Fairton and lay throughout the night in a plantation and was not found till 3 p.m. today by a party of police from Ashburton. He was sent to hospital with concussion, bruisss, and abrasions. About 1 p.m. today, C. Wright, of Wataroa, South Westland, fell from the West Coast train near Arthur's Pass. Wright suffered bruises and a cut over the left eye. He was found by a passing motorist and taken to the Pass. Early yesterday morning a man fell from the West Coast-Christchurch train near Craigieburn. The train stopped and the man was found to be uninjured He was searching for his false teeth.
