STATEMENT BY MR. NASH
Commenting today on the report that the Pan-American Airways Pacific air service was to be started before the end of the year, the Minister of Finance (the Hon. W. Nash) said that the statement made by Mr. Harold Gatty in connection with the inauguration of the service was in' accord with the wish expressed by Mr. Nash when discussing the proposals with the United States Government •in July last- ■ ■• ■ ■ ■ ' ■ • .-I
"In the course of my discussion with the United States Government/ added the Minister, "I expressed the hope that the service would be started at an early date, and that landing and other rights for a reciprocal British service would also be available when required."
