PUBLIC NOTICES. EASTBOURNE BOROUGH COUNCIL. NOTICE OF LOAN POLL. PROPOSAL TO RAISE A SPECIAL LOAN OF £6000 UNDER THE "LOCAL BODIES LOANS ACT 192 G." PURSUANT to the provisions of the "Local Bodies Loans Act 1926," 1 hereby give notice that a Poll of the Ratepayers of the Borough of Eastbourne will be taken on Wednesday, the 22nd day of September, 1937, on the proposal of the said Eastbourne Borough Council to borrow by way of special loan within the meaning of the Local Bodies Loans Act, the sum of Six Thousand Pounds (£6000) for the following purposes:— The erection, fitting, and furnishing ot a suitable building at Muritai Road extension, south of Tawa Street, the building to be used as an Omnibus Garage and Workshop with staff quarters and accommodation. The security for the loan shall be a Special Rate of One-third of a Penny (l-3d) in the £ on the Unimproved Value of all rateable property within the Borough of Eastbourne. The period for the. repayment or the Loan shall be thirty (30) years as from date of issue. i Debentures will be issued for the said loan which will be repayable over the period of the loan (30 years) by the annual redemption of debentures. The loan to be raised at rate of interest not exceeding 3% per cent. It is riot proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan or the interest and sinking fund for the first year. ...
