KING'S CUP DATE FIXED
According to a statement by the secretary of we Tasmanian Turf Club (Mr. A. Raeburn) when on a visit to Melbourne a fortnight ago. it has now definitely been decided: to run the next King's Cup at Mowbray during the Launceston Cup Meeting in January. A rich stake is to be provided, and an attractive supporting programme will be arranged. The Mowbray course, .where-the T.T.C. conducts its meetings, has a splendid track, and In the past some notable performers have raced there. This will be the first King's Cup run at Mowbray,- as the last time it was decided in Tasmania the fixture was held at Elwick (Hobart), the head--quarters of the T.R.C.
