A DOUBLE MISHAP

| To encounter a double mishap was [the unpleasant experience of Miss Tangi Chase, of Wairoa, runner-up in the Maori women's golf championShip, in the upper part of Main Street last evening, A car driven by Miss ChaSe struck a cyclist, James Wright, who turned a somersault, but had the presence of mind to catch hold of the I bumper of the car, The cyclist "and his bicycle were Carried seventy yards along the road before getting clear. When the car struck the dycle Miss Chase SWefved to the right and I crashed int6 a Borough Council bus and I continued on till the car came to rest lin the watertable on the wrong side of i the road. , The cyclist suffered a cut on the head and an injured knee. Miss I Chase was not injured.
