INSTITUTE OLD BOYS' CLUB
A tabfe was presented at the annual meeting of the Institute Old BoysClub showing that the first six positions in the club championship .for teams in all grades were filled by the following clubs:—lnstitute Old Boys, 1092 points; Kilbirnie, 789: Karon, 777; Wellington College Old Boys, 730; Hutt, 599: Midland, 550. '■■,*.,. Tributes were paid to A*. McLean, whose performance as a bowler was described as one of the features of the senior competition. McLean completed the season with an aggregate of 43 wickets obtained at an average of 11.23 runs, this achievement placing him_ at the top of the .Wellington bowling averages. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron. Mr. L. T. Watkins; president, Mr. W. A. Parton: vice-presi. dents, the existing list, with the addition of Messrs. L. J. Brabin and B. A. Mabin* hon. secretary. Mr. J. R. Perston; hon. treasurer. Mr. C. M. Owen; hon. auditor, Mr. P. F. Stevens: committee, Messrs. L. J. Calvert, R. McLean, H. Abbott. K. Montgomery. F. Rogers, M. Bilby, A. C, Lang, and Pv. Read. Messrs. L. J. Brabin. N Griffiths, J. B. Howitt, and W. A. Parton were appointed to represent the club at the annual meeting of the Wellington Cricket Association.
