GROUND SATURATED
PERSISTENT RAIN
(By Telegraph—Pres9 Association.)
CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.
A persistent drizzling rain lor three days has removed any chance of Lancaster Park being dry for next Saturday's Test. Accompanied by a light easterly wind rain has never ceased since it began early on Tuesday morning, and the park is now saturated, water oozing out from footsteps.
Th« All Blacks have been unable to get any outside training at all, and the team is practising tactics daily in the King Edward Barracks. Even if rain ceased today it would be impossible for the park to become anything like dry by Saturday.
