LATE DR. PATERSON
LARGELY-ATTENDED
FUNERAL
Thq funeral of the late Dr. Ada Paterson, Director of School Hygiene, took place last weekend, the services at the house and at, the cemetery being conducted by the Rev. A. B Kilroy.
Although the funeral was of a private nature it was the desire of the late Dr.' Paterson that her Departmental colleagues and those with whom she had worked in the course of her official duties should be afforded an, opportunity of being present. Her wishes in this respect were complied with, arid a most representative gathering met to pay their last respects to the deceased. •
In addition to a large number of Departmental colleagues, representatives were present-from the Departments of Education, Mental Hospitals, and Justice, as well as from the Wellington Children's Health Camp Association, the New Zealand Educational Institute, the Wellington. Education Board, the Wellington Free Kindergar-
ten Association, the British Medical Association, the Smith Family, the School Committees: Association, the. Registered Nurses' Association, the Hospital Boards' Association, the Wellington Hospital - Board, St. John Ambulance Association, the Red Crossi Society,; Victoria, University College, New Zealand [University Women's Federation, the Headmasters' Association, the Secondary School Teachers' Association, and the Technical School Teachers' Association.
The pall-bearers were 'the Hon. P. Fraser, Minister of Health, Dr. M. H. Watt. Director General of Health, Dr. T. Gray, Director-General, Mental Hospitals Department, Mr. T. N. Lambourne, Director of Education, and Dr. T. R. Ritchie and Dr. «F. S. Maclean, of the Health Department.
