ANOTHER CLASSIC EVENT
Another classic race has been added to the trotting calendar. . At a recent meeting of the executive of the Wyndham Trotting Club it was resolved to include a three-year-old event on the programme for the club's meeting in 1939. The race will be known as the Wyndham Juvenile Stakes, and will be run over M miles. The stake will be £220, and a trophy, valued at £20. Nominations will be taken in October.. The question of forming -a circuit between the Invercargill, Timaru, and i Wyndham Clubs was approved. At present the order of the meetings is Invercargill, Timaru, and Wyndham. It was decided to ask the Timaru Club to change dates with the Wyndham Club, thus - making a circuit whereby trainers from Canterbury and Otago visiting Invercargill could patronise Wyndham and the Timaru Meeting on the return trip.
