Cases in the Lower Hutt Court yesterday were dealt with by Mr. H. P. Lawry, S.M. John Lawlor was fined 10s and costs for failing to signal his intention to turn to the right when riding his bicvclc ' Negligent'.;driying. .cost Bert Taylor £2 and costs. ~ : Not having a -driver's licence cost Arthur Stephen Ward and James William Jenher 10s each and costs. For riding a bicycle at night without lights, Thomas William Flannery was fined 10s and costs. John Bentley was fined £1 and costs for negligent driving. Parking his car too far from the kerb cost James Kotlowski 15s and costs. Miss M. Clark was ordered to pay costa for failing to prevent a cow from beinc at large.1 .For making a false statement as iO the members of his family living with and dependent upon him so as to m slead an official engaged in the administration of the Employment Act, Frederick George Sewell was ordered to come up for sentence on Sentember 23. Mr. Lawry said he would take into consideration when fixing the penalty whether Sewell had repaid the amount wrongfully received. £5 15s. ________
