(Received August' 27, 1.40 p.m.) LONDON, August 26. Three Whitcombes were leading after the second round in the "NewsChronicle" golf tournament. Ernest Whitcombe, with 65, 67—132, established a record for a major tournament. His son Eldie Whitcombe, 65, 68—133, !was next, and he was followed by Reginald Whitcombe, 69, 65-134, who tied with Branch, 67, 67—134, m third vlace. Charles Whitcombe scrap™ into the sixty c.Ualifiers with 72, 72— 144. "
