AN APPRECIATION

BIBLE CLASS EVENING

Miss Helen D: Clyde, who has been leader of St. John's Presbyterian Young Women's Bible Class for the last two years and a member sines 1907, was entertained recently by rrembers and ex-members" of the class at the home of the Misses Chappell, 28 Stoke Street. A delightful programme of songs, recitations, games, and playreading was enjoyed. Bowls of beautiful spring flowers decorated both dining-room and drawing-room.

■ Miss Pearl , Brodie, who, has succeeded ' Miss Clyde, read from the minutes of the class an extract of appreciation of Miss Clyde's services to Bible class work. The Rev. J. R. Blanchprd also spoke, in very eulogistic terms 'of her. fine influence and work among the ycung people of St. John's, and presented her with a cake dish, a sandwich tray, a cream bowl and ladle, all in silver plate.

Miss Clyde responded with feeling and humour, after which a buffet supper was served in the dining-room.

Those who contributed to the programme were Miss Anie Bennie and Miss Marjorie Clifford (songs). Miss Margaret Parton (recitation), Misses Kraft, Thompson,. Halliwell, Mourant, and Marshall (play-reading).
