In :an elimination contest tonight as a preliminary to the Joynt Scroll debate, to -be held at Auckland on August 4, Canterbury University College .(affirmative) beat Massey Agricultural College, the subject of. the debate being,.-"That Democracy has Failed." -' The Joynt .Scroll is .competed for by constituent colleges of the New Zealand ; University.
