THEFT ALLEGED
THREE CHARGES ; On 'three charges of committing theft by fraudulently omitting to account for or pay the money to his employers, James Bryce Wilson, a salesman, aged 30, appeared before Mr. W. F. Stilwell,, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today. J Mr. F. W. Ongley appeared for the accused, and .Detective-Sergeant P. Doyle prosecuted. Two of the charges related to. sums of £10 and £5 alleged to have been received from Charles Reckit and Lee Young respectively on terms requiring the accused to account for or pay the money to Turnbull and Jones, Ltd. The third charge covered the period March 30 to June l f 2. The amount involved was £31 16s sd, and the firm Thos. Ballinger and Co., Ltd." , ' . Detective-Sergeant Doyle said that the accused was arrested late last night by Detective W. Murray. A remand until August 6 was granted. . . In applying for bail, Mr. Ongley pointed out that the defalcations had been known for two months, and that the accused had made no attempt to escape. The remand was granted. Bail was fixed at £50.
