WATT NOT READY
STILL OUT WITH INJURY
It was the intention of the members of the New Zealand Rugby selection committee to see how J. M. Watt, the fast wing three-quarter, shaped for Wellington College Old Boys tomorrow,, but, if Watt js the only player they
desire to see in the Old Boys-John-
sonville match, there will be no need , for them to go out to Johnsonville, where the match is to be played. All along, Watt has been regarded as a strong candidate for the New Zealand Test team, even though an injury prevented him from taking part in the trials. It is extremely unlikely, however, that Watt will be really fit before the first Test. His injured knee has received every attention, Watt being keen to be, in action as soon as possible. The knee, however, is not right, and not only is Watt unable to play for Wellington College Old Boys tomorrow, but he is also not available for Wellington's match with the Springboks tomorrow week.
