TOMORROW'S ATTRACTION

■ The Rugby football matches to be played tomorrow afternoon in the Wellington Rugby Union's senior. A grade, first division are likely to have a very important bearing upon the championship, which is now in its concluding stages. Athletics engagement tomorrow at Athletic Park is looked upon as the vital one of the second round, the reason for this being that it is with Petone, a side which has not met defeat in the second round. Petone will be keen to maintain their second round record, and Athletic will be striving to their utmost to carry the honours of the day, as victory will place them in the position of being at least two points up for the final series of matches. ■'.;■'

The football played by Athletic and Petone is of the kind which makes the run of play stirring, and there.-is-bound to be a sterling display of play by two strong packs with numerous bright and entertaining features in the play by the backs. It is regarded as probable that the New Zealand selectors will look in at this match, as among the participants there are some players who must be under consideration for the big events ahead. The play of the half-backs will be' of particular interest after what has been seen of those who figured in the trials. Several of the players in. tomorrow's match appeared in' the trials, and their form, too, will be watched with interest.

This will be the last opportunity of seeing club championship football locally until after the ' Wellington and New Zealand (first Test) matches with the Springboks,, and it.promises to be an interesting occasion at Athletic Park.
