LATE MR. C. I. DASENT

The funeral of the late Mr. C. I. Dasent took place today at St. Mary s Church, Karori, where his father was formerly vicar. The services in the church and at the graveside were conducted by the Rev. F. M. Kempthorne, vicar of St. Mary's. The chief mourners were Messrs. Wilfred Dasent and Gerald Dasent. (brothers), Mrs. Wilfred Dasent, Miss Dasent, and Mr. Wilfred Dasent (nephew). The pall-bear-ers were Messrs. P. W. Willson and T. Andrews (rangers of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society), W. F. Newcombe, Leo. Davies, and Kenney. Many old residents of Karori were present, including Messrs. T. Campbell, B. G. H. Burn, W. Lowe, and A. Henderson. The Wellington Acclimatisation ■ Society was represented by Messrs. A. J. Seed, J. S. Fleming, D. J. Gibbs, W. A. K. Jones, and E. J. C. Wiffin. Among those present were Messrs. C. M. and G. F. Bothamley.
