WHITEBAIT SEASON
Limited supplies of whitebait have come to hand in Wellington and are selling at 6s a pound. The cold .weather lately has been against good catches and the scarcity is even more pronounced than at the beginning of last season, when retail prices were also high. With an improvement in the weather larger supplies should be available and prices drop accordingly.
