HONOLULU, July M. 'flu; planes returned to the United Slates aircraft carrier Lexington after a five-hour search without finding any trace of the missing flyers, Mrs. Putnam aiid her navigator, Mr. Nootian.
The searchers, operating in intense heat, were compelled to rub grease on their'faces to minimise sunburn.
