OBITUARY
DR. WALTER SIMONS
BERLIN, July 15. The death has occurred of Dr. Walter Simons, Acting President of Germany from Dr. Ebert's death until the election of President Hindenburg in 1925. Dr. Walter Simons's" term as Acting President of the Reich was from March to May, 1925. He was a member of tha cwc-cuiivc- council of the International Law Association, and of the Ecumenical Council of Life and Work, and had published a number of learned volumes, including a survey of the evolution of international public law since Grotius. In addition to his other posts, he was legal adviser in 19J8 to the Reich Chancellor, Prince Max o£ Baden, and director of the legal department of the German Foreign Office.
