STRUCK BY CARS
SEVERAL PEOPLE HURT
Four people were injured as a result of being struck by motor vehicles in the city and suburbs yesterday.
At about 6 p.m. a motor-car struck two men at the corner of Brougham and Paterson Streets. D. M. Murray, of 4 Konini Road, Hataitai, received a cut on the scalp and injuries to the right eye, and T. E. Driscoll, of Miramar, injuries to the left leg. They were taken to hospital by. the Free Ambulance.
J. H. Levet, of 41 Railway Settlement, Kaiwarra, received head injuries when he was knocked over by a motor-car at Kaiwarra at about 5.50 p.m. yesterday. The Free Ambulance took him to hospital.
A contused wound over the right eye was received by H. Adams, of Ngaio, when he was knocked down by a motor-car in Molesworth Street at 5.10 p.m. yesterday. He received attention from the Free Ambulance, and was able to proceed home.
