AUCKLAND EXPLOSION
I (By Telegraph--Press Association). """*-" AUCKLAND, July 15. A further step in police investigations into the bomb explosion in which Mr. R. A. Singer was injured last Friday, was taken when Mr. R. GirHngButcher, Chief Inspector of Explosives, conferred with detectives. ' In the morning Mr. Girling-Butcher visited Mi". Singer's residence in Grafton Road, where a thorough inspection of the immediate precincts of the explosion was made. When interviewed Mr. Girling-Butcher said he was unable to make an official statement at the present stage, as he would have to give the matter consideration. The | investigations made were only part of j the general investigations which are being pursued by the police. ;
