DRAMA LEAGUE FESTIVAL
(Special to tho "Evening Post") j ' MASTERTON, This Day. _ j The fifth annual festival of the Wairarapa branch of the British Drama League was concluded last night. The judge, Mr. P. S. Latham, of Wanganui made the following awards:— Senior, "The 300 th Performance" (Phoenix Drama Club), 1; "Ladies In Waiting" (St. Matthew's Old Girls), 2; "Room Aforesaid" (Wairarapa High School Culb), 3. Junior: "The Stolen Prince" (The Play box Players), 1; "Toad of Toad Hall" (St. Matthew's School "Dramatic Society), 2; "The Crimson Coconut" (Wairarapa High School Juniors), 3. B certificates were awarded to the Phoenix Drama Club and St. Matthew's Old Girls; C certificates to the Playbox Players, Masterton Catholic Club, Wairarapa High School Club, St. Matthew's School Dramatic Society, Wairarapa High School Juniors, and Knox Drama Club, and a D certificate to Hadlow Preparatory School. The winners of the senior contest will compete at the North Island elimination festival.
