A POPULAR PRESIDENT ; (From "The Post's" Representative.^ NELSON, July 15. At the Mia Mia Tearooms, the1 com* mittee and members of the Plunket Society entertained at tea Mrs. William Lock, president of the PlunketSociety, who is retiring this year. During Mrs. Lock's presidency the society has prospered. The number of babies and mothers attended by the nurses increased considerably, and it was largely owing to Mrs. Lock's untiring energy; that the Plunket and Rest Rooms open • ed at the beginning of the year became an established fact. Stead was hostess at a tea at the Mia Mia Tearooms yesterday afternoon after the christening of the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. G. Stead. The tables were beautifully decorated with flowex-s and a large christening cake. The guests included Dean and Mrs. P. B. Haggitt, Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Cock, Mrs. E. T.
