ELEVEN MONTHS' SHIPMENTS
The Primary Products Marketing Department has supplied the Dairy Board with information of shipments of dairy produce ■ for eleven months ended June 30, as follows:— 11 months. 11 months, 1937. ' 1936. Tons. Tons. Butter 140.049 123,976 Cheese" .... 79;460 77,046 Increase in butter for the period, 11,073 tons; increase in cheese, 2414. AH but 3018 tons of the butter was shipped to the United Kingdom, and all the cheese, except for 171 tons for other countries, during the 11 months of the current dairy export year. Increased quantities of butter were shipped this year to British ports other than London. Stocks of butter and cheese in New Zealand, including shipments afloat — at July 1, were 32.316 tons of butter (23.060 for corresponding period last year), and 36,393 tons of cheese (39,121 tons last year).
